Since the assassination of Michael Usifo Ataga, CEO of Super TV, and after the arrest of young student Chidinma and her father, revelations and new facts have emerged.
First, the girl’s father, who had been arrested, has just been released on bail. Last Wednesday, when the police arrived at his home to arrest his daughter, he strongly opposed. A behavior that made him a suspect in the eyes of the police. But no doubt the man had acted like any good father who totally ignores what his child is doing without his knowledge and takes her for a saint?
Still, the girl, Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu, is in the hands of the police. Confessed, her statements show that it was a heavy dose of potent drugs that led the CEO of Super TV to err. And what should have been fun ended in a bloodbath.
According to the young student, they had both smoked drugs and drunk alcohol. And they were already under the influence of these narcotics. But Michael Ataga had taken a strong drug, a special thing which, in addition to its hallucinogenic properties, is a powerful aphrodisiac. “It makes the man’s libido go up.” And this is undoubtedly what is at the origin of Ataga’s misfortune.
Because as soon as he took this drug, his libido didn’t stop rising. He first made love to the young girl several times. But that wasn’t enough for him, he wanted more. His young partner was exhausted and didn’t want sex anymore. But he didn’t want to hear anything so much he wanted to. It prompted him to chase Chidinma all over the apartment, into the kitchen, calling for another hit. And it was there, near the kitchen cupboard, that the tragedy happened.
As the young girl said, “He wanted to take me again. I started to defend myself. And, at one point, he hit my head against the wall and I hit back. He began to suffocate me. I was against the kitchen cupboard. There I stretched out my arm and grabbed a knife. I stabbed him twice in the neck and once in the stomach. “
Michael Ataga and Chidinma Ojukwu had known each other for a few months. She was his mistress and they had seen each other several times before. “Mr. Ataga was a friend,” she says. He has never shown me pictures of his family. He had the manners of a married man, but he didn’t say he was married… He was on drugs and drank alcohol. I’m not saying that to overwhelm him or anything. “
The third daughter of a father and mother who separated when she was young, Chidinma grew up between her father’s house and that of her uncle. For several years now, she has been living with her dad. “I have no contact with my mother. We don’t talk to each other. I have an older sister and a younger sister, ”she reveals.
Speaking to the media, she said she no longer goes to school at the University of Lagos for lack of money. “The last time I was on campus was before the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Because I don’t have the money to go back to school and continue my education. “
Since her arrest, she has regained clarity and now regrets her act. But the gravity of this act leaves her no chance. And she knows it. “I regret killing Mr. Ataga. I don’t know what will happen to me, but I don’t want to die. Please, I don’t want to die because of this case. I had never killed before. I would like to tell Mr. Ataga’s family that I am deeply sorry for what I have done. I hope you will forgive me “.
