Lagos state Commissioner for health, Prof. Akin Abayomi had advised participants at the African Magic viewers’ Choice Award, AMVCA which held on 14th March, 2020 to observe strict self-isolation as they may have come in contact with an individual who tested positive for coronavirus.
As a result of this advise, some celebrities have been revealing their personal efforts to contain the spread, one of such celebs is the winner of Big Brother Naija 2019, Mercy Eke.
Mercy took to her Twitter account and disclosed that she has been adhering strictly to the directives from health officials in line with the revelation that they might have been exposed to contracting the virus.
The mother of one joined many others in the fight against coronavirus through prayers, educating fans on social media and also sending food items and hand sanitizer to the needy.
Toyin Abraham sent relieve materials to people at Ibadan, Ilorin, Abeokuta and other states.
“Hi guys, looking for genuine and honest people who can help me out with this. I will send you money but your account has to be functioning and these will be monitored every step of the way. Please comment below,” she captioned the message above just before she started distributing the funds in parts.
